Short Story Writing

Develop a voice that is compelling to an audience and uniquely yours.

Compose a powerful story that delves into cross-cultural divides, like the works of Jhumpa Lahiri — or perhaps something entirely different, like the dark and horror-driven stories of Edgar Allen Poe. Through writing activities focused on plot, dialogue, characterization, and tempo, you will play with words and experiment with style. While receiving feedback from your instructor and support from your peers, you’ll have the chance to create captivating characters and an engrossing narrative.

This course meets daily for 75 minutes.
